I have owned two of these mailbox posts. The first one installed very easily. Mine came with instructions to add a 2x4 to adjacent sides of the 4x4 post so it fits the plastic post sleeve perfectly. Unfortunately the first one was demolished by a snow plow. In MN that happens often! :-) I happily bought another and slipped it over the wood post which survived the snow plow undamaged. Both mailbox posts endured heat, sun, rain, snow, sleet, wind and even a couple kids hanging on the cross arm and still look like new! Excellent product. Excellent value for price. Would buy another.
