We purchased one of these watering systems several years ago and it has been wonderful. I believe it's been at least 3 years since we purchased it. So far, we have not had any problems with breaking, fading or leaking. It works well.

We always have very large trees for Christmas and climbing under them was such a hassle. Once we get this system set up, we no longer have to climb under the tree. The added bonus is the fact that the box looks like a present. It fools everyone.

We have learned that we need to elevate the box about two inches from the floor in order to keep the water level in the tree stand to our liking. We simply put an old, thick phone book inside a shirt box (decorated) and place the watering system box on top. It blends in with the rest of the presents under the tree.

You need to make sure that at the end of the season you air out the hose completely or else you'll end up with mold on the inside. One year we put it away...
