Review : Keter Fortis 8x11 review
I bought two Fortis 8'x11' sheds two years ago. For the most part, I have been happy with them. But, one of them developed a problem. Each Fortis has two skylights front and back. One of these skylights has gone bad. Being an engineer, I can speculate what went wrong. When the skylight was plastic injected (molded) someone forgot to include the titanium dioxide (UV protection) in the batch. Consequently, this skylight has yellowed and cracked and is slowly deteriorating. The other skylights are fine they still look new. When I went to obtain a new part from Keter, the part description is not enough to clearly define what it is. I am in the process of contacting Keter.
Being an engineer, I can confidently say this is a good example of poor Quality Control (QC).

All the parts were labeled clearly. We received this new shed the other week. While the parts were all labeled and the product was in good condition (was a little worried re shipping) the quality of the shed has definitely been downgraded. The roof is pretty much cardboard and there are no reinforcements like our previous shed. It took us about 4 hours to put together. Overall the shed is nice, floor is great and it came with shelves, we just were not impressed with the quality. I am also concerned about the roof if we ever get a big snow fall. Something we will have to watch.

Review : EZ my butt
I purchased this shed several weeks ago based on the promise that this shed just "snapped" together and could be assembled by 2 people in 2 hours. Where are those two people who can do this? The instructions are not the easiest to follow but not the worst I've seen. Most of the assembly is supposed to be done before using any screws so that the pieces can be fitted without a hassle. Only one problem - with no screws the whole thing, at least as much as we had gotten up, came down wacking my wife in the head and bruising her foot. So much for no screws. We reassembled the parts with enough screws to keep it from falling apart again.

After several days of struggle and not so choice names for Arrow, I did get the frame and side panels assembled. We went for a short vacation and I did my best to gather my thoughts for the final assault. I did manage to finish the shed when we got back but just the roof panels and plastic stripping took well over 2 hours to complete...

I bought this shed from my local lowes. I will say the instructions are pretty darn good. The 1 star? See, mine said it included a floor frame kit. Thing is, it is ALUMINUM!!! Ya, needless to say it buckled under its own weight. I then had to spend $200 more on the lumber for a real floor frame. Some parts don't fit perfect but holy crap it's so flimsy you can make it fit. Definitely wouldn't recommend buying this unless you are okay with beefing it up. I just don't think you should have to after spending this much money already.
