Review : Generally a good pruner
I have owned another Corona pole pruner for many years and purchased this one for the extra few feet - anything to help me reach a slightly higher branch without climbing a ladder is a safety feature. This model has allowed me to reach all that I can reasonably ask for, as I have used longer, commercial pole pruners (up to 21 feet) and they get too unwieldy to conveniently use.
What I really like about this model is that the base of saw blade is attached with a through-bolt; on some of the other Corona models it is attached with a screw threaded into a tapped hole in the alloy pruner head. This stripped out on me after many years of use, and though I was able to re-tap it with a larger screw, the through-bolt design is more durable.
I also really like the double pulley design which gives more mechanical advantage than on my older model, and the quality of the head and saw in general. I have experienced some of the slippage problem with the telescoping poles,...
